Breathing Training Day-6: Energy Exchange

I focused on two things: letting go of pre-conception and knowing about breathing; focusing on myeong-mun (gate of life).

Breathed deeply while relaxing my chest and shoulders. Push out downward my lower abdomen and it pulled down the diaphragm and used lower areas of the lungs to breathe.

Myeong-mun is located on between lumbar vertebrae #2 and #3 on the spine between kidneys. Without forcing anything, I just relaxed and watched the breathing. Myeong-mun felt like a hole with a lid. It opened when I breathed in or out. It closed when I paused in between inhalation and exhalation.

In-coming energy felt smooth, moist, and light. Energy in my dahnjon felt rought, dry, and dark. Sometimes it felt like tiny needle tips. It indicates the quality of  my energy. I observed how the energies exchange. It’s like oxygen and carbon dioxide exchange in our lungs. As energy changes, I could feel my dahnjon area (lower abdomen) move smoother and deeper while breathing. I didn’t force it. It just naturally expanded. As it expanded more, my nose felt clearer and opened up more.
