Doing Skype with my family in Korea

———–

It’s a New Year’s Day on Lunar Calendar in Korea.
My family called me through Skype. Actually, I didn’t expect. All family members gathered at my father’s house and the youngest brother called me.

I could talk to each of them. My father looks great. He is 80 years old now and I could feel special energy around him. It’s like an authority naturally emanating from elders. He looks very very happy.

My mother looks tired a little bit but as soon as she talked to me, she made a big and bright smile on her face. She looks great too.

My second brother is always busy. Especially, he’s studying a lot to promote in his company. My sister-in-law is doing a good job. She was awarded from the City as an honorable city reporter. She is a famous blogger in Korea. My nephew looks very mature this year. He is 15 now. Also, much taller than last year.

My third brother is working in the city hall. Now, he looks like a typical Korean Government employee. Also, looks like gaining weight. The sister-in-law came to the United States to take a one-month education provided by the government, so she could not attend this gathering.

It’s was a very pleasant and inspiring conversation. It’s a good way of starting a New Year. I feel very grounded, connected and inspired.
