Q. There is a subordinate who works for me in which I have been training in the last 5 years so that she is able to do my job. During this time frame, she has been making a lot of mistakes on projects which are very important to our company. While she has made a lot of mistakes, I have had to go back to fix these mistakes. Because of that, I get frustrated with her because of the mistakes she has made. Because these mistakes are common simple mistakes. My question is how can I refrain from getting frustrated with her?
A. We can experience a variety of human relationships during our lives. A relationship which you encounter in your workplace also is the same. If you hadn’t entered that company, you would not have met that person.

Why does a person who makes a lot of mistakes come to you? You’re a kind of person who doesn’t make mistakes. Why didn’t they go to other people? Why should you deal with them? Up until now, you haven’t finished your study of dealing with people who make mistakes and so they are staying near you for your study. Then, how should you see and approach them?

If you hate them, suffer from their behaviors, and are so distressed about it, then they will never stop making mistakes. People who make mistakes are always detested. They repeatedly make mistakes because they are hated by others. When they are protected and cared for by others, their mistakes will disappear.
When you lead them rightly, your ability will become improved.
People coming to you means that you should be in charge of them. When you lead them rightly, your ability will become improved. The person who makes mistakes is a kind of a person who lacks something. Therefore, if you can’t accept and manage that person, you can’t improve your ability either. You should love and look after people who make mistakes. You should embrace them, praise and love them, then they will make fewer mistakes.
While you try to prepare yourself, you will find yourself looking and treating them differently.
However, even though you want to do it, you can’t do it. Then what should you do? Only when you would have prepared, then you would be able to take care of them. If you are not qualified, you never can do it. Therefore, you should try to prepare yourself. While you try to prepare yourself, you will find yourself looking and treating them differently.
The true study is a study about the environment as your surroundings. It is our society.
In Korea, most people feel sick and tired of the word ‘study’ because they have been hearing the word ‘study’ too many times from their parents. But we should learn how to treat people. The study of young children is totally different from that of adults. When you were young, your study was a kind of virtue for the growth. As an adult, your study in society is a true study. The reason why we don’t know about society is that we have considered learning in our early age as the study and because we haven’t studies when we actually needed to study. The true study is a study about the environment as your surroundings. It is our society.
Society gives us an environment in which we can learn about it. We should see and make the world newly.
So, we approach our society and accept its basis in our thirties, but nobody teaches us about it. Only the situations are given to us and our ability is depending on how we deal with and what we learn from them in next ten years. If you don’t study in your thirties, its results will appear in your forties, and you will fall into difficulties in your fifties. If you don’t prepare for it, then how can you make and live a wonderful life? There is no such a principle. We didn’t know the principle of the study.
We haven’t realized that society is not given to us for making money for a living but gives us an environment in which we can learn about it. We should see and make the world newly. That is future’s society. Because we hadn’t studied when we should have studied, we are now in difficulties and can’t do something mass.
If you only complain about your life, your life will never change. Great Nature is looking at you how you deal with your chances.
Thus, if you have people who make lots of mistakes around you, you should realize that you have something to do for them. So, Great Nature has sent them to you. If you can lead them responsibly, you will be blessed by Great Nature. Why? Because you have shown your ability. There are always such chances in our lives. Great Nature always gives us a chance but we miss it often and so we can’t receive grace. Great Nature is looking at you how you deal with your chances. And if you only complain about your life, your life will never change. If you keep complaining, then your life will get worse. Understand?
