Decision for our housing situation

My wife and I discussed again for our housing situation. We agreed to focus on solving our housing issue first.
Originally, we decided to purchase another car next year because we’re sharing one car. When I have a meeting with my client, I have to ride her to her workplace and meet my client. Sometimes it takes much more time unnecessarily. So, we decided to buy another car.
Now, after the episode on the weekend, we changed our direction. It will take a much longer time yet we agreed it’s the right choice.
For the next two years, we will focus on that. I need to stabilize my business because the bank will check our 2-year solid income from the business. And, we will save cash in our account.
Interestingly, I started to read “The Millionaire Next Door” last week. The book shows how our preconception about millionaires is distorted by media and real millionaires are frugal. Most people who live a high-end lifestyle are NOT millionaire but poor in their account.
Buying a condo/house is not a selfish goal. We need a stable housing situation in order to contribute to society. Without having a place to live, how can we help somebody? We would need to get help from them.
Also, I believe that if we try to contribute to the people whom the universe sends to us, our material situation will be taken care of.
